New Rider Development Programme initiative

Posted on 12. Aug, 2010 by in James Scott, Rider Development Programme

The next stage of the Scotts of Thrapston Rider Development Programme to be launched is aimed at grass roots and will follow James Scott, one of the company’s directors, and novice rider, as he prepares for his Eventing debut.

He comments: “I haven’t ridden for a while, but being involved with the development programme has made me feel that I could really do this! I am also a big sports fan, so with only two years to go until until the Olympics where Equestrian sports will take place at Greenwich Park bringing the sport to the masses like never before, I feel this is a great time to inspire others who are interested in the sport”.

James will be aiming to compete at Carlton Horse Trials next year in the BE80(T) class, a class aimed specifically for introducing people to the sport and designed to encourage inexperienced horses and riders, as they build confidence in all areas.

James will be keeping a diary of his progress on this blog, so please sign up for regular updates to automatically go to your inbox.
