My first lesson booked for Thursday at 5pm

Tim and Antonia Brown are currently away in France with their competition horses, so I am having to prolong the waiting for my first lesson!
I understand that they have had some good places with their horses in France, though… a 10th and a 15th out of 70 odd horses! Impressive stuff I believe ~ not that I am really au fait with what is good and what is bad as yet but I guess being closer to 1st has got to be better that not?! I am looking forward to learning more.
In fact, I am wondering if riding horses is anything like Formula One…
Do you all sit in the tack room working out tactics…?
Can you fill them full of premium unleaded, that gives them that little more of a boost!?!?
Anyway….
My breeches have been purchased…I am of the understanding that, as with everything in life, there are specialists in this field. For the ‘correct’ kit (the expensive kit!), you really need to travel. Although internet shops have all the clobber, I am told that they don’t necessarily have the right stuff.
I am of the opinion that if I spend a few quid on the important stuff it will last! Boots, helmets, chaps etc. etc. But I am told that things can’t really go wrong with the breeches…hence a rather figure hugging pair of black Mark Todd men’s breeches purchased!
And, most importantly, my first lesson booked for Thursday at 5.00pm!
