What a weekend!

I had planned to go to Carlton for a Cross Country clinic last weekend but unfortunately our other horse became very sick and was admitted to Bourton Vale Equine Hospital so we couldn’t leave the area incase of emergency. This meant we had to cancel Carlton which was a big shame.

Fortunately our friends were going to competitions on Saturday and Sunday, so I managed to book a dressage test and Show Jumping.

The weekend went very well achieving a good dressage test and Jumping went well with a 5th. On Sunday I did even better getting a 1^st in the 2’9 class out of 50+ competitors.

I think the weekend was very helpful although missing what would have been great practise at Carlton, I managed to get in a dressage test and two Show Jumping rounds with great success which shall help a lot in the run up to Carlton Horse Trials.

I will be doing two dressage tests next week at West Wilts E.C and continued lessons with my instructor.  I am also entering the West Wilts BE on August 10th which shall be a good follow up of Carlton. But until then I will be working hard and getting ready for the big day.
